MEETING ACTIVITIES:
Feature Presentations/Demos/Activities:
(1) Build Night
(2) Summer Beer Tasting
(3) Swap Meet Night
(4) Special Show and Tell: Shelf Queen Models

We have a lot planned for this meeting:
First of all it’s a Build Night, so grab a kit and some tools and get in some quality model building time with your fellow armor building friends and club members.
It’s also our Summer Beer Tasting Night, so bring some favorite/new/different beer to share with the rest of the club members.
This will be our first, in what we hope will be an annual event, Club Swapmeet. Everyone has some model hobby stuff you know you will never use: kits, decals, aftermarket parts and accessories, tools, paints, books, decals, etc. Here is you chance to get rid of them at no additional cost. Just check out your model stash and grab a box or handful of stuff you want to get rid of and bring it down to the meeting, and put it out for sale while you work on your model. Who knows, you might sell the stuff or at least manage to trade some of the stuff for other stuff that you want.
And finally, we are having a Special Show and Tell on Shelf Queen Models. Shelf Queen models are models that have been started with the best of intentions but, for whatever reason, never get completed and remain on your shelf. So, we encourage each of you to either: (1) bring some (all?) of your self queen models to share and discuss why they were started and why they were never completed, and hopefully get some encouragement to complete the kits: or (2) if that is too painful, just bring in the number of shelf queen models you currently have. I think we all might be surprised with how many we have. I did a quick count and was shocked, just shocked, to come up with a total of 17 shelf queens so far. It should be interesting to see how many shelf queen models are out there among all our club members, and hopefully we can help talk each other into finishing some of them. And remember, a Build Night, provides a perfect opportunity to work on some of them.

Everyone Welcome:
Modelers of all ages and experience levels, wives, girlfriends, significant others and family members are always welcome.
As always, you don’t need to be a national AMPS or SoCal AMPS member to attend and there is no cost to buy, sell, trade or just attend the meeting.
Just bring something armor modeling-related to share and participate in the meeting.

Standard Request:
Since our meeting place, the Frye Sign Co., is an operating business with limited seating available, please bring any folding chairs that you may have so we can make sure that we have enough for a comfortable and successful meeting
