This is one meeting you don’t want to miss.
The June meeting is the type of meeting that occurs only once every 10 years, our 10 year anniversary, and we intend to celebrate it in style.
SoCal AMPS will be providing all the good stuff listed above.
Our annual Anniversary Door Prize raffle will include ten $10 Brookhurst Hobbies gift certificates.
Additionally, Tamiya USA and some other companies will be providing some really cool surprise donations that we intend to use as game and door prizes.

We also need your help by participating in the Special Show and Tell and the Special Photo Show and Tells.
For the Special Show and Tell simply bring in your oldest built model.
For the 3 Special Photo Show and Tells you can participate in one of three ways:
(1) Email me your photos AS SEPARATE ATTACHMENTS TO YOUR EMAIL and I’ll collect them in an electronic file and bring it to the meeting.
(2) Bring your electronic photos on a separate thumb drive or memory stick.
(3) Bring hard copy photos

And finally, please answer 2 questions via email or bring to the meeting:
(1) How far do you drive to attend our meetings?
(2) How many models kits do you have in your kit stash?
This number should include only the number of unbuilt full model kits that you have; no conversion kits or after market parts sets.

No, really this is the last And Finally:
Feel free to bring any beer or wine that you feel will help you (and us) celebrate this occasion

May 2018 Meeting Pics

Meeting pics are up! See them here. Another great meeting with Joe B being able to attend via Skype and Jim W is always great as auctioneer. Don’t forget about our 1/72 scale online group build. I’ve created a section for it on our forums. See you next month!

Congrats to Nationals Winners and Next Meeting Notice

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR OUR MODEL KIT AUCTION CLUB FUNDRAISER:
Donations of any new or used model kits, sprues, parts, tools, modeling materials, books and magazines are requested for our club fundraising auction.
Here’s a good opportunity to get rid of some of those kits you know you’ll never build or sell  and those leftover kit sprues and miscellanous parts that are hanging around your work bench and benefit a good cause: us.
Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated.
This is the club’s only fundraising activity.
The money collected will be re-invested to fund future club activities (pizza and drinks for our Build Nights, summer and year end potlucks, raffles, quarterly build and special build contest prizes, local model show and contest category awards sponsorships, etc.) and will  help to keep our monthly meetings FREE to all attendees.
Although we naturally prefer armor-related items, any non-armor, incomplete, partially built and left over kits or other modeling-related stuff of any type is also welcome.  And cash is always an acceptable donation alternative.

Remember, one modeller’s trash can be another modeller’s treasure and may provide exactly what’s needed to complete that special modelling project.
Please bring whatever you can donate to the meeting.

(1) Model kit Auction Club Fundraiser
(2) 2nd Quarterly Build Contest: Previous Kit Auction Models

OK, guys, this is the big event meeting that we all wait all year for.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to pick up some great model kits and other modeling stuff at fantastic prices or just be entertained by our always amusing Master Kit Auctioneer Jim Wechsler.
Each year, over the last few years that we have been hosting club auctions, our club members have come through with an incredible variety and amount of stuff for the auctions. Everyone usually goes home satisfied with a number of new items for their collections.
Part of the fun is you never know what stuff will show up and how cheaply you can get it.
